Been busy

Busy couple of weeks.... we've been staying pretty busy the last couple of weeks. Last week we had new carpet installed in the family room and the week before that we got the last two bedrooms upstairs carpeted. Finally the crappy (anyone who worked with it knows what I'm talking about) original carpet is gone. We also Kiersten a big girl bed and soon she'll begin sleeping there and not in a crib (yes, I know she's growing up too fast). We let her sleep in the there one night and she did really well, she crawled right in and stayed there and went nigh night perfectly. About 1 when I checked on her she had started to roll around so I moved her back to her crib. We need to get a set of things to keep her from rolling off.
Last weekend the IMBA Trail Care Crew was in town and I was busy coordinating the visit for CITA. It was a good weekend and Saturday's trailbuilding class went over well. We had several people from the DNR, Americorp, and the Whiterock Valley Conservancy attend.
Wednesday was Spring Cleanup days in Urbandale so the curbs were piled high with anything and everything. As usual it was entertaining to watch the parade of cars all night perusing the free garage sales on the curbs. I'm not putting them down of course, my wheelbarrow and first trimmer came from the clean up days. I did resist temptation to go around looking at stuff myself. The one thing we want I probably could have found but with her birthday coming up I didn't want to take away an idea we gave Gma and Gpa.
Heading up to Waverly for a race this weekend. It's the Survive the Challenge at Camp Ingawanis. Should be a fun race. They have a 9 mile loop that we'll be doing twice. The Boy Scouts up there have done a great job making this trail system from what I hear. There also is a fun day on Saturday that I'd like to attend where a lot of kids will be trying mtn biking for the first time. It'd be fun to be there and help with that.
