Not a good day for riding to work today. I was happy to try out a new piece of trail that had been made to go under 63rd St and Grand. I hadn't been on it no longer than 2 mins when hit a patch of mud sitting on the blacktop that sent me down.

So I donated a good chunk of knee skin to the new trail, rubber off my tire sidewall, and a chunk of handlebar tape to the trail. I somehow manage to get the inside of my knee and this made my hip flex waaaay too far out and it's hurting like a mo'fo sitting in this hard chair at work.

I limped my way in to work the rest of the way but I think I'll be stopping by Rassy's to get me a new tire cause this ones got a nice wobble as the tube is starting to push thru the weakend sidewall. Hopefully they haven't packed up too much stuff for Ragbrai yet.

I got a few snapshots of the carnage I'll post when I make it home. Thanks Stacie for offering to come get me if needed but I think I'll make it home hun. She's enjoying the luxury of working from home today.

In kid news Kai is crawling depending on what your definition of crawling is. He manages to get himself propelled forward but he's still gotta work on gettig his arms and legs going at the right time. I think he'll be crawling by the end of next week pretty good. Kiersten is doing awesome as always. We deep in the middle of a potty training campaign that isn't going great yet. She was good at sitting on the toilet for about a year but nothing else and finally a couple weeks ago she starting going on it one out of every 5 times she sat. Oh the things that a parent can celebrate.
